I restarted this painting on top of a large figure study I had done under the tutelage of Ron Sherr. My friend Lisa became my model and her child and mine were around as bonus models. I liked the idea of an active interior showing a domestic scene in not too sachharine a way. the relatively quiet white linen table top c just turned.ompared to the nebulous chaos in the bottom right hand corner. The dark areas versus the bright vibrancies sprinkled throughout. Inside / outside. And the shadow on the table from the vase mimics the shape of the rooster's high clawfoot
