Standing on this sloping dune I kept slipping and losing purchase. Perhaps that made the work more animated and balanced as my desperation to stay upright helped me at least have the painting grounded. I love the textures in the top left hand corner where the feeling of ocean spray is expressedand the opposite corner has this really nice up close detail of wild brush growing
